The first Everybody’s Day Festival was held in 1908. It is North Carolina’s Oldest Festival. There will be approximately 145 arts & crafts vendors, a children’s area, three entertainment stages and a golf tournament. The show is sponsored by the Thomasville Medical Center. I’m pretty excited about setting up that Trimline canopy I bought on Ebay this summer and of course, showing my jewelry. Can’t wait. So much to do to get ready!

You may want to take a look at Brandy Agerbeck’s Craft Show 101 post over at Loosetooth. She documented her experiences preparing for and participating in the Renegade Craft Fair in Chicago back in 2003. She shares her philosophy on participating in shows, a list of what she made/bought, a diagram of her booth layout, tons of tips and lovely photos of her booth. Brandy has some great advice for both newbies and pros.

I still covet those bowls she made to hold her jewelry.

Over the past year, so much has changed. I’ve moved to Charlotte, North Carolina. I have a new dog and a new day job. I joined Art Fire and Twitter. Best of all, I have a renewed, stronger love of jewelry making. And of course, a new design for this site!

It’s sometimes hard (and makes me a little wistful) to let go of the old and run arms flailing into the new. But, hey, it’s Spring and I’m going for it. Stay tuned.
